Welcome to a review of the JVC LT-42EM73 42 inch 1080p 60Hz LED-LCD HDTV. Looking for a large screen TV that has plenty of features, high definition resolution and a low price tag? This model by JVC, although not a Smart TV, has the most important features necessary to enjoy TV viewing with excellent performance. This large screen TV has a very slim design, with clean lines, and is easily placed on a stand or mounted on the wall. With wide viewing angles, you can watch TV from almost any vantage point in the room. Equipped with 2 HDMI ports and 1 USB port, there are plenty of options for connecting external equipment. A VGA port is available for connection to a PC for those wanting to use the large screen as a monitor. There is also a headphone output to listen to the TV or music without disturbing others.

The part number for the remote control is RM-C1240.

With 1080p high definition resolution and a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, you will enjoy stunning picture quality with clarity, vibrant colors and enhanced contrast ratio. For game playing, 120 Hz is generally preferred to reduce motion blur but you’ll find that this model, with 60 Hz and a 6.5 response time, is adequate for playing games. This model has 2 built-in speakers, each with 8 watts capacity. Although perfectly suitable for TV watching, to achieve surround sound like a movie theater, most users will connect a soundbar or receiver to enhance the sound and deliver more clean, crisp sound with more depth and clarity. Users interested in environmental issues will be pleased to note that this model is certified energy efficient. The biggest drawback for users appears to be that the DirectTV remote cannot be used nor is there any code to make it useable. Otherwise, you get a lot of bang for your buck with this model, a purchase you will be happy you made.

• High definition resolution
• Wide vertical viewing angles

Welcome to a review of the Hisense H5 Smart HDTV Series. The Hisense H5 HDTV series has all the newest technology and features for the modern day shopper, at remarkably low prices. All the TVs are thin, streamlined, and stylish to fit in with any decor. 3 HDMI inputs give you the means to connect a blu-ray player, cable/satellite box, gaming console, and more. 2 USB ports provide you the flexibility to enjoy not only photos or music, but also HD movie files directly into your TV via USB. Access to the internet is easy and a web browser is a key feature. You will have access to Pandora, Netflix, YouTube, Face book, Twitter, and the Opera app. store, to name a few.

The part number for the remote control is EN-33926A. The remote has a user friendly layout and is very easy to use.

This series boasts 1080p high definition resolution and it won’t let you down. The picture quality is superb with sharp, clear images, vibrant, stand out colors and a realism that will make you feel like you are one with the picture. The only difference between the 3 models is that the only model with a 120Hz refresh rate is the largest of the 3 in the series, the 50 inch screen TV. The other 2 models, the 40 inch and the 48 inch screen TVs both have 60Hz. Each model has 2, 10 watt speakers, and while the sound is ok, as is customary with most thin, flat panel TVs, most users prefer to add a soundbar or receiver to create a true home theater system to enjoy movie viewing at its finest. With the parental control feature, parents can easily set up the programming their kids can view and block anything that is not made for young viewers. This series has much to offer and delivers on the most important element, a pristine, clear picture.

RATING: 3.7 out of 5 stars

Welcome to a review of the Hitachi LE32V407 32 inch 1080p LED HDTV. This model is affordably priced and basic in its features. Its small screen size, based on the large screens that are so popular today, make it a good fit for smaller rooms like an office, bedroom or even a kitchen. Like most flat screen TVs, the LE32V407 is thin and stylish, with clean lines. The set-up is easy and quick with custom input labels. Equipped with a clear anti-glare screen, it helps to reduce glare created from any light source in a room while watching TV. Fitted with 2 HDMI inputs, a Blu-ray player, cable/satellite box, gaming console or other HDMI compatible equipment can be connected. Unfortunately, an HDMI cable is not included. The USB port, with a photo viewer and slideshow capabilities, allows you to enjoy viewing images stored on a connected USB-enabled device such as a flash drive.

The remote control part number for this model is 098003063100 and is a standard TV remote.

Because the resolution is 1080p, you will experience picture quality that is clear, and crisp, with vibrant, dynamic colors and images that are so realistic, you will feel like you are one with the picture. Being that the refresh rate for this model is 60Hz, it is probably not the best choice of TV for gaming enthusiasts since higher refresh rates render less motion blur, necessary for excellent, fast action game playing. Fitted with 2 speakers at 10 watts each and Dolby Digital Technology, the sound quality is pretty good, however, many users are looking for theater-like sound therefore add a soundbar or receiver to enhance the sound quality. If you are looking for a smart TV with the latest technology, this is not the TV for you. If, however, you are searching for a basic TV that is affordable, with great performance, then you should consider this model.

The 2018 Vizio UHD 4K E Series is a great choice for most consumers this year. The Vizio E Series models range from 43”-75” and boasts a sleek, sturdy and durable design and is sure to impress most budgets. The Vizio E Series offer the VizioSmart Cast platform and allow customers to access up to 18 apps and with built-in Chromecast viewers can stream movies, videos and games to their lap top or tablet.

While some features of this series could use some improvement like sound quality, upscaling of low quality content and narrow viewing from angles, the Vizio E class UHD 4K series does make up for it in other ways; like its sleek design, brilliant colors out of the box, fast response time and low lagging input while gaming.

The Vizio E Class uses a standard remote XRT136 which is a very functional, easy to use remote. The XRT136 by Vizio has many app shortcuts that will easily access Netflix, Amazon, Vudu and more. While the Vizio XRT136 does not offer voice activation or a built in keyboard, there is an easy to use onscreen system.

• Can control the TV from a tablet or smart tablet
• Has a superior contrast ratio, fast response time and uses PWM to dim the backlight

• viewing angles are somewhat limited
• The sound quality is mediocre and may require sound bar for larger, noisier rooms

• Brilliant Full HD 1080p picture quality
• Direct LED for a bright picture and slim design
• Smooth movement with Motion flow XR 120
• 2 full-range 8W speakers
• 2 HDMI ports

RATING: 4.7/5

Welcome to the review of Sony’s R450A Series 1080p 60Hz LED HDTV. This Sony R450A series presents your favorite TV shows, movies and more in crystal-clear high-definition. Two full-range 8W speakers produce robust, dynamic sound to add to your home entertainment experience.
The TV’s sleek finish and mirrored front bar create a nice aesthetic once mounted. Though not exceptionally thin by today’s standards, the R450A does well for a backlit LED TV. Like many entry-level models, this series does not rotate on its stand. The thin plastic stand itself seems a bit flimsy, and the fact that it is attached to the TV by only two screws doesn’t exactly scream quality.

The remote control for the R450A series is part number RM-YD092.

One especially notable feature is the TV’s use of Sony’s MotionFlow Technology for frame interpolation and image blur reduction to lower jittering, and in theory, make the 60Hz refresh rate seem more like 120 Hz.
There are many mixed reviews for this model. If you are in the market for buying a new TV, always check out the resources for the best quality and the right TV to fit your needs.

RATING: 3.5/5.0

Welcome to the review of Sony’s NX720 Series 1080p Bravia Internet LED HDTV. The NX720 series BRAVIA wraps all of Sony’s redefining TV technologies into a stunning looking TV. The striking Monolithic design of this series looks great both on and off.

With Sony’s exclusive X-Reality Engine, everything you watch – from HD movies to web videos – is analyzed and selectively processed to give clean, clear, and lifelike pictures. While 3 unique noise reduction features work their magic prior to upscaling, Sony’s Intelligent Image Enhancer divides the signal into four characteristics – texture, outline, contrast, and color – and optimizes each one individually for more vivid and distinct pictures.

Another interesting feature is the Sony Entertainment Network. Your television is now a true all-in-one entertainment center that allows you to access your favorite video websites straight on your BRAVIA. Get quick access to YouTube, Style, Singing Fool, and many more sites that will keep you entertained for hours. All are accessible using the smart remote control RM-YD069.

It does not have all the extras that higher priced players are equipped with but the quality picture and sound you get will not disappoint.
