It is a powerhouse unit, built to last a long time and deliver nothing but the best in sound and picture quality. The receiver has the buttons hidden behind a flip down panel, giving it a cleaner, more streamlined, industrial look. ISF certified calibration control allows you to calibrate your TV to optimize the picture quality. The TX-NR1010 can upscale analog signals to 1080p and increase 1080p video to 4K resolution once you have a 4K capable TV. It is also equipped with instaprevue which, as you are watching any HDMI source, will provide thumbnails of your other HDMI sources and will allow you to switch to them easily.
