Welcome to a review of the Onkyo HT-RC460 7.2-Channel Network A/V Receiver. Onkyo’s HT-RC460 packs a powerful punch and comes with a very low sticker price. Although it takes some time to set up your new home theater system, the receiver comes with color coded labels to assist you with connecting your speakers and some of the HDMI inputs are pre-labeled, for example, cable/satellite, Game, DVD, and computer, making the assembly of your new system much easier. A microphone is included that will automatically calibrate the speakers for optimal sound. Wireless network is available with the purchase of an adapter, which will allow you to access several online music services including Pandora, Spotify, Rhapsody and Internet radio, to name just a few. An Onkyo remote app will enable you to control your receiver using your smart phone, a much sought after feature.

The part number for the remote control is RC-834M. On-screen menus on the receiver allow you to integrate the receiver into a universal remote control if you do not want to use the one provided.

Keeping its customers in mind, Onkyo has equipped this receiver with 4K upscaling, the future of TV viewing. With a 4K enabled TV, all blu-rays and DVDs will automatically be upscaled to 4K resolution to give you the very finest in TV viewing, just like the movie theater. Even without a 4K TV, all blu-rays and DVDs will be upscaled to 1080p resolution providing you with crisp, clear picture quality every time. Dolby Pro Logic IIz adds new dimensions to surround sound that will make you run for cover during action or thriller movies. Overall you can’t go wrong with this receiver. For the price and all of the features it provides, you will have the home theater system of your dreams.
