Welcome to the review of the DYNEX DX-40L261A12 LCD HDTV. The picture quality on this device is better than expected. For gaming purposes it has held up well and can keep up well with little motion lag. There is a difference when comparing it to higher priced, big brand sets, but it is only a slight difference and it’s not one that should sway the casual buyer. The menus are user friendly and easy to navigate when using your DX-RC01A-12 remote control.

It has been stated that the internal speakers are supposedly not of quality to some, but some reviews state differently. There have also been comments made about volume issues. To give an example, if you are on volume 30 and you want to get down to volume 20 you have to space out your clicks, otherwise you’ll end up at volume level 5 in three or four clicks which appears to be some sort of jump flaw.

In a nutshell, this TV is fairly solid overall; it does have some small sound issues but its performance elsewhere is fairly spectacular and is therefore a TV worth taking a look into.

• Picture Quality
• Menus easily navigable

• Sound quality is not the best

Westinghouse CW40T6DW 40” Class 1080p LCD HDTV

• 1080p High resolution
• Easy to set-up and mount
• Computer connectivity
• 3 HDMI inputs
• 3D noise reduction
• 178 degree wide vertical and horizontal angles
• Energy efficient

RATING: 4 out of 5 stars

Welcome to a review of the Westinghouse CW40T6DW 40” Class 1080p LCD HDTV. For the price, the CW40T6DW delivers an excellent picture quality. Its simplistic design and menu are for those seeking only to watch TV, a movie or play a game and not much more. It does not have internet connectivity but with the 3 HDMI inputs that can be found in the rear of the set you can hook up any sound system. Plus, using the VGA connection can hook up your computer so that the screen acts as your monitor.

Some users have commented that when mounted on the wall, it is hard to attach cables to the HDMI inputs because of where they are placed. It is probably easiest to attach all necessary cables prior to mounting on the wall. Those who have opted to put their set on a stand have said that the stand is not very strong and very “wobbly”, therefore the TV should be placed in a very sturdy location. With its wide vertical and horizontal angles, everyone in the room, no matter where seated, can view the screen with ease. The best feature of the CW40T6DW is that it delivers a very clear, crisp picture with vibrant colors.

The remote control used for this model is the RMT-21 and is a standard fully functional model.

As with many thin flat screen models, sometimes the sound quality is compromised. For many the sound is adequate. For those who want more depth and a higher quality sound, it is lacking. To offset this drawback, consumers have found that by attaching a sound bar, speakers or any sound system, the quality is no longer an issue. The digital tuner requires codes that need to be activated which means a phone call to Westinghouse must be placed to get the codes. This is an annoyance for some people. Overall however, for the price, this simple model offers an excellent viewing experience.

• High resolution delivers crystal clear picture
• 3 HDMI inputs
• PC connectivity
• Easy set-up

• Sound quality
• No internet connectivity

The part # of the remote control that comes with this home theater system is RC-840M.

You can also connect your iPhone or iPod via the USB port located on the front panel and your PC as well.

Some users have commented that, while setting up their system, the cords for the back speakers are too short. And others have commented that the interface could be better. Welcome to the review of the DENON S-101 DVD home entertainment system. This model is a simple integrated system featuring 100 watt power. The set-up is a breeze even for a novice and overall the whole system is user friendly and the fully function remote control that comes with the S-101 will help make your whole entertainment experience a great one. The remote control part number is RC-1007.

Included is a high-quality progressive scan DVD player which is a nice addition. It has several auxiliary inputs, and can handle a digital optical or coax input from another source. The heart of the system is actually in the subwoofer, which makes most of the cords stay hidden in the corner.

One of the nicest features of this system is its iPod compatibility. Just hook up your iPod using the supplied cable. The S-101 displays a menu on your TV that looks and works like your iPod’s screen. You can control your iPod using the remote, listen to your favorite songs through the S-101’s speakers, or enjoy a slideshow from your iPod Photo on the large, bright screen of your TV. And you don’t have to worry about your iPod running low on power, since this device also charges it for you.

It has been stated that the S-101 is a great home stereo to add to any medium sized space. This system sounds and looks great even though the Virtual Dolby doesn’t really create sound behind you, but it does give a clear center channel.

Welcome to a review of Emerson’s EM2 Series LCD/DVD Combo HDTV. Enjoy sharp, high-quality images with the Emerson EM2 Series HDTV. This series integrates the convenience of a DVD player so you can watch movies with ease. The EM2 series comes with 800:1 dynamic contrast ratio, which delivers striking color variation. You will enjoy the excellent color depth with a 720p and a 60Hz refresh rate.

The Emerson EM2 series can connect up to a maximum of two HDMI inputs at a time so you can switch between them without having to meddle with wires or devices. Also, the HDMI port facilitates complete audio-video signal transmission using only one cable thus providing a clutter-free setup.

Although having the convenience of a DVD player built-in to the TV, the issue seems to be with the DVD player. Consumer reviews are stating that the DVD player stops working properly or not at all. However, since this a budget priced model, some claim that as long as the TV still functions, they do not mind because of the price.
