Welcome to a review of the Sanyo DP42D23 42 inch LED-LCD HDTV. The DP42D23 TV is in the lower price point, therefore does not have all the features of a Smart TV. However, if you are in the market for a low priced, simple television that has a large screen and will deliver a beautiful picture, than this is a good model for you. Setting this up is easy and quick. With a variety of HDMI, component audio/video, composite audio/video and RF inputs, you have plenty of options to connect your blu-ray, cable or satellite box, and external antenna hookups. A coaxial digital audio output allows you to connect a home theater system to enjoy phenomenal, theater like sound. This model is equipped to convert many signal formats, including 480i/p, 720p and 1080i, to a 1080p high definition display. With its wide viewing angles, it is easy to watch your favorite movies or shows seated anywhere in your room.

The part number for the remote control is GXCC. The remote control is small, simple and easy to navigate.

Some customers have noted that while the sound quality is adequate, it would be greatly enhanced with a soundbar. The quality of the picture is crisp and the colors vivid, with a clarity you would expect from a high definition TV. Welcome to a review of the JVC LT-42EM73 42 inch 1080p 60Hz LED-LCD HDTV. Looking for a large screen TV that has plenty of features, high definition resolution and a low price tag? This model by JVC, although not a Smart TV, has the most important features necessary to enjoy TV viewing with excellent performance. This large screen TV has a very slim design, with clean lines, and is easily placed on a stand or mounted on the wall. With wide viewing angles, you can watch TV from almost any vantage point in the room. Equipped with 2 HDMI ports and 1 USB port, there are plenty of options for connecting external equipment. A VGA port is available for connection to a PC for those wanting to use the large screen as a monitor. There is also a headphone output to listen to the TV or music without disturbing others.

With 1080p high definition resolution and a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio, you will enjoy stunning picture quality with clarity, vibrant colors and enhanced contrast ratio. For game playing, 120 Hz is generally preferred to reduce motion blur but you’ll find that this model, with 60 Hz and a 6.5 response time, is adequate for playing games. This model has 2 built-in speakers, each with 8 watts capacity. Although perfectly suitable for TV watching, to achieve surround sound like a movie theater, most users will connect a soundbar or receiver to enhance the sound and deliver more clean, crisp sound with more depth and clarity. Users interested in environmental issues will be pleased to note that this model is certified energy efficient. The biggest drawback for users appears to be that the DirectTV remote cannot be used nor is there any code to make it useable. Otherwise, you get a lot of bang for your buck with this model, a purchase you will be happy you made.
