Welcome to a review of Emerson’s EM3 Series 720p 60Hz LED HDTV. The Emerson EM3 Series features an excellent 720p HD picture for your viewing pleasure. You can connect one HD device with the provided HDMI port. The EM3 Series is available in three of the smaller convenient sizes, a 19”, 22” and a 32” Class. These sizes are perfect for a kitchen, dorm room or a bedroom.

The EM3 comes with a fully functional remote control, part number NH301UD. This remote will guide you with the setup or menu options that you will need. This is a plain and simple TV, with only one HDMI, and does not give you a lot of room for enhancing your model. This series is known for being a budget level model and the reviews are mixed as to the quality. Picture, sound and even longevity seem to be hit or miss. Viewing angles are also something that is less than desirable.

Welcome to a review of Toshibas L6200 3D LED HDTV Series. The L6200 series provides an internet TV that has 3D capabilities, which includes some internet apps, but does not include an app store. The setup of this internet-ready TV allows you to only perform one function at a time, such as watch TV or access an app. The remote that comes with this series is part number CT-90408, and is primarily for the TV and not for accessing these apps, since it doesn’t have a full keyboard. All of these issues can limit the uses and have been stated as a bit disappointing.

The picture and sound quality on this TV is adequate but does not provide wow factor. The viewing angles are rather standard and coloring and image displays follow that same trend. The refresh rate is above average which is nice for watching things such as sports or playing video games and is a definite plus for those looking to partake in these particular activities.

The L6200 series has great parental controls which could be a considerable plus for someone shopping for a teenage or younger aged child. Overall this series is definitely a pass if you are looking for a model for an adult, however, if you’re a parent shopping for a child, this TV displays a lot of fine qualities and is likely to give your child everything he/she wants.

Welcome to a review of the Sony DAV-TZ140 DVD Home Theater System. This home theater system is compact, and doesn’t take up much space, so it works very well in small spaces. The set-up and installation is easy, however, some users have commented that there are lots of wires to hook up. Because it only has 300 watts, it is best designed for use in smaller rooms since you will not get the same quality of sound in a larger room. The sound quality is clear but not “booming” loud as with other systems that are equipped with more wattage. It has been noted by many that the sound quality while playing movies in the DVD player is excellent but somehow diminishes and gets a bit duller while watching cable TV. Take note that this is a simple DVD player and not a blu-ray, therefore movies made especially for blu-ray cannot be viewed on this DVD player.

This home theater system is capable of upscaling your DVDs to near 1080p HD quality. It has a USB port up front that lets you play movies, music and view your photos. While this set is a valid option if you’re looking for an affordable, functional 55-inch LED TV, you should be aware that it certainly does not compare to high-end LED TVs as described by Haier. The contrast ratio is adequate and the picture is decent but compared to the higher end models it fails in comparison. The refresh rate is also fine at 120Hz, but you may see some blurring during faster motion scenes. All of this makes the picture fairly decent but nothing special.

With that stated, the sound quality as well is rather poor, especially if you do not have external speakers. As far as connections go, the Haier LE55B1381 offers three HDMI ports. Unfortunately, this model does not have an Ethernet port, therefore if you don’t have a wireless router, you’re out of luck for internet connectivity with this TV. On another note, the menus are decent at best but still easy to navigate with use of a TV-5620-124 remote control, which is included with this TV.

The menu’s layout, although adequate, could use some improvement as noted by several users. The feature that upscales DVDs to near 1080p will certainly enhance the picture quality of all your DVDs and enable you to watch your movies with vibrant, bright colors and crystal clear images. The I/P noise reduction also helps to deliver the best picture quality by eliminating playback noise. Not only does this blu-ray disc player deliver top-notch picture quality, it offers much in the way of connectivity to the internet via the built-in WiFi and sideview app. Stream your music, and videos or watch movies from Sony’s Entertainment network, offering services like Netflix, YouTube, HuluPlus, Pandora, Amazon Instant Video, and more. You will also have access to apps exclusively designed for your TV. One disappointment noted by users about the apps is that they are in a fixed order and the order of apps cannot be adjusted, therefore, if you want the 40th app., for example, you have no choice but to scroll down until you reach it.

Some users have had problems with the screen going black, with no sound, and doing so off and on while watching movies. To remedy this problem the “deep color” setting must be turned off. The audio capability of this blu-ray functions well but one user noted that to get the full HD master audio sound that this blu-ray is capable of delivering, the “audio mix” setting must be turned off. Adjustments certainly need to be made, but this blu-ray disc player can really pack a punch when all the settings are in sync and for the bargain price, you can’t go wrong.
